FAQ

What's an edition?

Editions are 1 out of X amount of pieces that are created from the same piece of art. They are like lithographs in the traditional art world.

An artist can choose to release editions of their art in order to make their art more accessible to their community. 1/1 art pieces are those with only 1 version that will or has ever existed. Our collection is made up of 1/1s, 1/8 editions, and 1/15 editions.

What's the difference between the sessions in the genesis mint?

Each session has its own level of perks and amount of editions, which you can see below or on our mint page.

How does the artist selection work?

On our Mint page you’ll find our list of artists with examples of their art. You’ll be able to choose the ones you like the most. We recommend you know in advance which artist you like the best before the mint date. From the mint page, you can quickly select which artists you are most interested in minting. During the minting process you will be able to select 3+ artists to mint their work — our site and smart contract are set to mark artist’s work as Sold Out once you can no longer mint their work. However, if the website is having high traffic of minters at the same moment, there could be errors in this process, leading to minters not minting the exact artists they selected. We invite you to discover all about our artists on our official social media accounts or on our official website.

Can I purchase a specific tattoo NFT from a specific artists when I mint?

You will not be able to choose the exact art you get in the initial mint, but you will be able to select your artist preferences by indicating 3+ artists you’d like to mint an NFT from. Once the reveal has happened, you can buy or trade your NFTs with others using secondary markets.

How do I set up my wallet?

Download and set up your own personal wallet -- some wallets function as phone applications and others as browser extensions. In your crypto wallet you’ll be able to store digital assets, like cryptocurrencies or NFTs, and interact with them.

You can mint our collection using MetaMask, WalletConnect wallets, or our secure mint partner, ZenGo. ZenGo allows you to buy crypto with your credit card and mint (purchase) your digital collectibles all in one secure place. See this introduction video for more information about setting up your ZenGo wallet.

How do I get ETH in my wallet?

If you need to purchase ETH, you can use ZenGo or Metamask to purchase with your credit card or bank wire. Alternatively you can also purchase ETH on an exchange (such as Coinbase, Gemini, Binance) and transfer it to your wallet. Keep in mind that it may take a few days to get set up on an exchange if you are new to that exchange.

How do I know if my transaction is secure?

You can always check the contract address that shows up in your transaction via your wallet to make sure it is correct. The contract address you should be interacting with is 0x7B67E3661942FDA6C1D73bBe99856B6a11CdD2EE. If you are using ZenGo to mint, they will show you a verified green check mark if you are minting to the correct address. This is only an option with ZenGo and will not show up with other wallets.

Where do I mint?

You can mint from our official website: www.theorderofink.com. Please make sure you are minting from our official website only.

How do I know if I'm on the INKlist (presale list) or not?

You can get into our allowlist from one of the raffles run by our partners on twitter/discord or on our official twitter account when we open it up for submission from time to time. If you won one of the raffles you’ll be notified by HeyMint, our partners (through which we ran the allowlist raffle), or by email. If you won an INKlist spot on Twitter, we will send you a DM in order to get your crypto wallet address to add it to the allowlist. We will never ask for any information beyond your public wallet address. If you are not sure if you made the INKlist, please DM us on Twitter and we will confirm for you. The only emails you will receive official emails from are info@theorderofink.com or community@theorderofink.com.

Who can I speak to if I'm having a problem?

You can DM us on our official Twitter or Instagram accounts and we will do our best to get back to you shortly and help out. If you are minting with our ZenGo wallet partner, they have 24/7 live support inside the ZenGo app, ready to answer any questions you may have.

What are the future plans for The Order of Ink

We have a lot of ideas for where we want to take The Order Of Ink post minting the genesis collection. You can see some of our ideas by viewing our thINKmap. We hope our community and artist collective will be the main force in leading where we go next.
